Duku Forè GAICD is an international speaker, an
author of 2 books, a 2-time TEDx Speaker, as
well as a UN Delegate having
represented Australia at the United Nations Headquarter in New
York.
Duku is the Founder of Rich
Dreams, a platform that provides a safe space for people to
showcase their success journey, build connections, and work
towards achieving their dreams.
In addition to Rich Dreams, Duku has also
founded HnH
Wholesalers, a merchandise base supplier to the Hotel and
Hospitality industry. HnH is a supplier for clients such as
Marriot Hotel, Star Hotels, Brisbane Showgrounds, Brisbane Racing
Club and more.
Duku is a graduate of the Australian
Institute of Company Directors' Company Directors Course, and has
been awarded the post nominal of GAICD.
Duku was born with a speech impediment and was raised in a
refugee camp in a family of 10. He and his family immigrated to
Brisbane, Australia in 2007, after being granted a refugee visa.
Arriving on foreign shores, Duku
could not speak English fluently with his entire vocabulary
encompassing a single word, YES.This led to Duku
struggling in school, unable to quickly learn the language and
being occasionally bullied as he could not speak well. Duku was
not one to take these insults lying down and unfortunately, he
started getting into fist fights with his tormenters resulting in
his expulsion.
It is at this point that Duku
realized that he had to make a change and that he was taking the
very first strides down the wrong path. Summoning the will to
reject where these choices would lead him, he overcame life’s
challenges and now dreams to inspire and challenge others to see
life in a different light. Starting his dream journey of becoming
a public speaker in his bathroom, Duku knew that this was not the
best way to start. However, he believes whenever you have a dream
or a goal, you do not need to be great to start but you need to
get started to be great.
This belief to simply attack your goals
has resulted in many opportunities for Duku. In such a short time
from not being able to speak English to now being an international
speaker, Duku has been invited to travel to various conferences,
events and schools to inspire others regardless of individual
circumstances. As well as being selected to be an Australian
Delegate in his earlier days at the United Nations Youth Assembly
which was held at the organization’s New York headquarters.
In the broader community, Duku is a
person known as a man whom accomplishes whatever he sets his mind
towards. His aspiring nature and insatiable appetite for learning
sets him apart from the rest of his peers. The boundless
motivation and enthusiasm are what draws like-minded people to him
